Back When Cotton Was King
Long before it became a leading gaming destination, Tunica played a pivotal role in the history of the South. In 1997, five proud citizens who wanted to preserve the heritage of their county founded the Tunica Museum, located just past the casinos on Highway 61. The museum is filled with native artifacts and invaluable pieces of agricultural, military and political history indigenous to the area. And the Museum Gift Shop offers rare and unique items you can’t find anywhere else. Admission is FREE. Click here for more information on upcoming exhibits and lectures.
