Concert Girls Dancing
Do you ever get the song “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” stuck in your head and think about grabbing your girlfriends and heading out for some girl time? When I get that feeling the first place that comes to mind is Tunica. Of course we all know that Tunica is know for gaming and has 9 world class casinos to keep you entertained, but it’s also a great place for a weekend getaway with friends.

I like to start by sneaking out of work a bit early on Friday and checking into the hotel. After unpacking and relaxing, it’s time to meet up for a pre-dinner cocktail or two and maybe try my luck at the slots. Then off we go to dinner. With so many great dining options it’s hard to choose, but eventually we decide on Jack Binion’s Steakhouse at the Horseshoe Casino. Their food is delicious but the desserts are decadent! After dinner we deicide to head-in early and rest up because we know tomorrow is going to be a busy day.

After breakfast we decide to do a little shopping at the Casino Outlets. With stores like Old Navy, Van Heusen and Children’s Place, we can grab a gift to take home for everyone in the family. And then it’s time to head to our spa appointment at the Golden Reflections spa inside Gold Strike Casino. We each chose something different. Some of us went for a massage, while others unwound with a facial. Now it’s time to party. After grabbing a quick bite to eat, we head out in search of live music and don’t have to go far. We find ourselves at Sam’s Town Casinos Roxy’s Live. The band tonight is the Fabulous Steeler Band and they are rockin’ the house. Before we know it we have danced the night away. There is so much to do in Tunica that we didn’t even get a chance to visit the award-winning Tunica RiverPark & Museum, go for a ride on the Tunica Queen riverboat or eat at the world famous Hollywood Cafe. Looks like we need to plan another weekend getaway soon!
